  4. Ordered some 33m rod for lights, and 1.5x0.8 strip for footboards. Drawn up the destination boxes to cut later.
  5. Tender has arrived! John does know he gets the ocasional issue.
  6. Easy Trix suitable for IC 119 120 123 124 126 Not IC, nor 119/120, looks a bit weird, checked 1 photo, TP power car Trans Pennine Driving Motor
  7. What a nice looking kit and as a fan of cement wagon rather annoyed it is not suitable for my area being almost all CPV and PCV hoppers
  8. Depends where you are modelling. Hornby model was everywhere The Bachmann as above is not the refurbished version
  9. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caspian_Sea_Monster
  10. I do use Init but not innit I also use PreInit and PostInit ain't it is better than innit
  11. I think I will experiment with my Lima 116 DMU as it is my most detailed running on pizza cutters. They are also only 0.5mm too small. My Mark 2s are getting Replica B4s with modern wheels fitted.
  12. I currently have the fun issue of working on 3 projects (for fun) my main railway and two small projects. The amount I cannot get is very surprising. Big layout DMUs Had to build a GRCW 119, building a Swindon 120 Carriages need a few 2C got 4 so far Wagons OK Small 3 counties area ex MR line in BR WR times Locos of 4 wanted, 1 kit, 1 heavy kit bash, 2 expensive RTR, or a kit and a detail on old model Carriages, need 3 types, kits of 2, 1 none but will ignore Wagons OK as just a few vans Small Cornish branch Locos got them as 45xx Carriages, building a couple of late non corridors from bits and a kit Sunshine. Wagons, lot of Airfix based BUT need a scratch a common hopper So I am having to scratch a DMU Build a loco from various sources Build 2 carriages from various sources Build a few wagons of a common type with no kit or RTR Looks like we will always need to make models.
  13. Tempted to fit my Lima 47 with these, what is the traction like, would be on an 8 coach train, 6 Airfix aircons, a Replica BG and a bitsof catering vehicle
  14. Tender on the way. Serves me right for having too many projects, had parts arrive today for both Cornish 1960s project and WR IC DMU project. Decided I will not start the tender until the 120 DMU has been door hinged and roof vented. Prairie is nabbed for Cornish project.
  15. I was using the BT email address I sent again with a different (BT) address which got through just now I do know that BT can be a pain email wise. But their internet has not let me down in 13 months of working from home.
  16. Am I the only one who keeps thinking of Valentas and VP185s at the mention of Paxman? As to football wafflings. Just remind them "A HELICOPTER HAS FLOWN ON MARS"
  17. I do like to read these sort of interviews, I currently get the 3 mains through the post each month, and interviews with various companies are always interesting. Now Simon Kohler, he has been in the hobby since year dot. Of course I would want to see an informative interview with him, I am pretty sure I have met him as well. Actually I have met lots of people in the hobby, including a forum mod who was slightly grumpy at the time. Now the LAST thing I would want to see is nastiness.
  18. Some people are forgetting this is a hobby and the people involved are involved because they like it. I would also suggest that they all know each other. And I am sure you find out more from being friendly than aggresive.
  19. Anyone here know them? Please let them know they are having delivery issues. As it is BT I am unsurprised, I moved ours to our own server and domain. Issues with Yahoo and moving them.
  20. They need to close a few more factories, it is what they do Linwood, Ryton, now they have to close Ellemere Port
  21. The 119 and 120 underframes are totally different. 119 uses more or less Derby standard, so Lima floors. 120 uses a lot more Swindon, but different to any other Swindon designs. Not sure on body profile though. Bogies totally different. An easily available roof is ideal for both 119 and 120 (and my WR IC set) I will let you know when I have enough, same manufactureres chassis is also suitable
  22. Similar to these https://www.rocks-by-rail.org/exhibit/hopper-wagons/ And http://www.ws.rhrp.org.uk/ws/WagonInfo.asp?Ref=7471 Worst case plans. Prepared to cut the bodies. I could do with 3 or 4 Thanks Martin
