  1. Looking forward to seeing this layout progress. Looks like you have a decent sized space for your layout. Regards Scott
  2. Wow, that is a fair few sets you have used for the walling. Looks good though. Bridge is looking good as well, looking forward to seeing it finished.
  3. Before long there'll be sheep in them thar hills !! I think I had read somewhere before (not sure where however) that the further away the hills/fields etc..are the darker they appear.
  4. More great photos, I am really liking this layout.
  5. What a great layout. Don't know how I missed it !! Went back and read over the whole thread and really enjoyed watching your progress. The farm is brilliant. Look forward to seeing more. Regards Scott
  6. Good for sealing riverbeds etc.. as per here http://www.unrealdetails.com/
  7. Why would a serious collector want one that has been buggered about with?
  8. He probably paid more for one than the other and is trying to recoup his costs.
  9. We can but dream and maybe throw in an APT for good measure.
  10. Oooops my mistake. I haven't seen a lot of the Heartbeat series as they have only played a few episodes over here. I did a bit of digging and you are correct she does live with David in Greengrass' house. One less house to buy
  11. That was Tescos wasn't it You need to do Aunt Peggys' house next
  12. Love Greengrass' house !! I assume it an old Hornby product? The donkeys are nice touch, Preiser also have a similar product but in a pack of 3.
  13. The top of the old water tower certainly looks more like the prototype although would need a lick of paint.
  14. The Hornby code numbers are different though.
  15. Just had a read through your thread. Very impressive. I shall continue to follow along and watch with interest. Although it doesn't really fit in with my layout I am considering buying a Lion myself. Such a unique looking machine. Can I ask how you rigged up the Kadees? Is it a Kadee mounted to a tension lock? Regards Scott
  16. Well full sized loco were not made in China. Things just aren't made like they used to be. Look at the price of a cell phone, by the end of a 3 year term they are outdated and generally cannot hold much of a charge. The price to buy one outright though is ludicrous. I seriously don't think that 8 years of usage is that bad considering the technology and how things are made.
  17. Should a locomotive last longer than 8 years? Does an automobile? In this throw away society I would imagine 8 years is not to bad.
