    Preiser although HO do a great job of providing a variety of sizes with the HO range. Some can work better than other for OO. I am surprised that they never jumped in to the OO market. They have figures for pretty much every other scale.

    Are these any good? They are 1:87 scale though but appear a bit chunky so may work for OO. Seems to be modeled after the Britains cows. http://www.scalefarm.com/v051878_model-kids-farm_kids_globe_8_friesian_cattle.htm Here are my Guernseys............converted from some old Britains cattle.

    Cat litter perhaps? I know the clumping stuff we use is quite fine. or maybe ballast?

    You can never have too many Kal. I think I have 10 locos 4 DMUs and currently I just have 2 ovals of track on a 4 x 8 sheet!! I also have a Jubilee 'DRAKE' Class 57 Class 87 A EMT DMU A EMT HST (These five are not in the era I model but I couldn't resist)

    I still have all my Britains farm animals and also my class 47 and mk3s from when I was a kid. We moved around so much (Dad was in the army) a lot of stuff was tossed or donated each time we moved.
