Chubber
I'm posting this here as a. I can't find the original post [it might not even be on RMWeb] b. I am unable to post it into the NG Forum in which I'm replying to an existing post. I think it's self explanatory.... my SEEPEGGY holder which centralizes the armature for fitting and marking out mounting holes, and makes a convenient handle by which a motor may be held whilst soldering on tails. I slip two equally thick scraps of soft card between the stock rails and the moving parts of the turnout to center them. I prefer to solder coded tails to each motor which terminate in a piece of chocolate block making replacement and fault finding a lot easier. I hope this has been of interest, it's at least ten years since I last posted it somewhere! Doug Here is the NG link I referred to above..... http://ngrm-online.com/forums/index.php?/topic/991-seep-pm1-point-motors/page-2&do=findComment&comment=154542
RMweb Premium kevinlms Posted July 23, 2013 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 23, 2013 You did indeed previously post it on RMweb. Perhaps the mods can match up your threads? http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/15405-mounting-point-motors-headache-free/?p=150343 Looks very useful, although I haven't tried it.
