Jon Fitness
Here's a couple from Holyhead I took a good few years ago. They were taken with my trust Pentax k1000 on a tripod. The front view was done by opening the shutter on B, locking it open with the cable release and going for a walk down the side of the train with my flashgun. The exposure was probably about 5 minutes at F22! They haven't scanned well from the prints but the negatives were pretty much OK. In fact I had a large print done of the front view (about 30" across if I remember correctly) and it was almost as sharp as the 7x5 print I got with the rest of the film! Andy Louch
I really like night time photos and have attempted to get such shots on a number of occasions generally without much success! Moving trains in poor light are especially challenging ( ) and attached are a couple of my (low res.) recent efforts at GCR Winter Gala. Any tip would be gratefully received! Cheers, Andy
