RMweb Premium it's-er Posted November 24, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 24, 2017 Bachmann have a new item on their website that they are attending Warley this weekend: http://www.Bachmann.co.uk/details.php?id=488 They go on to say that at "the Bachmann stand ... members of staff from both Bachmann and the Collectors Club will .... display new releases, provide updates on product developments and answer your questions. Furthermore, the Collectors Club will be announcing a new limited edition model over the weekend ...." Can RM webbers at Warley let us know of anything new that is on show, or is announced, please? We've yet to see: decorated samples of the Brighton Atlantic; CAD or EP samples of the GWR 94xx, first announced on 2 March 2015 as part of their 2015/16 programme, and the Midland 0-4-4T, though that was announced as recently as January; and the LNER J72, now showing on their website as due in September/October 2018. Any news on any of these would be most welcome, especially if it is accompanied by photos of anything that hasn't been seen before ... please! JhornG201
Are there any new samples of the SECR Dark Lake coaches? Since there were comments about the colour and as far as I remember Bachmann were going to double check it?
No Decorum
Are there any new samples of the SECR Dark Lake coaches? Since there were comments about the colour and as far as I remember Bachmann were going to double check it? I’m very curious about this – not that I’m about to cancel my order. I have a notion that, authentic or not, a dark colour on a model needs more sheen to lift it a bit. If it’s very matt, it looks dull and unattractive. RMweb Gold Popular Post adb968008 Posted November 25, 2017 RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted November 25, 2017 (edited) Visa stamped, under armed escort and undercover.. I’ve this Secretly smuggled from behind the Blue curtain... The very nice Mr Lovett when asked said the 2018 catalog is due Jan 7th, Birdcages are on the boat, freightliners in new year. When asked about a class 40 and the 60th anniversary, he smiled, then hesitated. Then said no comment, ..yet :-) But wow the working steam crane ! The detail is fantastic, with Jib, frame, balance, supports with all moving components. The designer of it was on hand there, proudly talking about it, this is a massively complex piece of machinery, more so than valve gear on a steam loco and that the arm lifts, swings and is configurable all with in super detail.. forget the mass plastic Hornby one with its knobs to pull the chain... the valve gear moves in this one ! There’s a lot in the lounge today, car flats painted and they are massively well detailed, secr and SR birdcages, SR painted LBSC, J72, freightliners, crane, 47245, IC 47, colas 37 and 70.. RMweb Gold tractionman Posted November 25, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 25, 2017 The SR liveried Atlantic H2 looks very nice, thanks for posting the pics, is this the first time the H2 has been seen liveried? all the best, Keith
County of Yorkshire
The steam crane... it lives! And very nice it looks too, even for an EP sample. CoY
RMweb Gold adb968008 Posted November 25, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 25, 2017 (edited) You’d be forgiven for thinking Bachmann have been quiet of late, but with the volume of new stuff on display today it’s clear there has been a lot of work going on behind the scenes. mK2e are also on display, 158 CADs are also on show. There’s a bunch of 47s and 37/ coming in new year which are also on display, 37099 with its revised headlamps. Clas 90 EPs are also on show. I can’t see the paragraph about the crane or the following paragraph in the post. Never mind! Something to get excited about at last. The Birdcages look stunning. The crane is just amazing. Will it be motorised? Many thanks for the pictures and information.

RMweb Gold The Fatadder Posted November 25, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 25, 2017 That crane looks fantastic, definitely going to have to allocate some funds for one of those (and find out what support coaches I am going to need to go with it).
Free At Last
Looking at the crane I think it's going to be a couple of pounds more than the original estimated price... 45 Ton crane in GWR Black livery ( Price is estimated - we will notify you if price rises and offer option to cancel) OO Gauge (1:76 Scale) £60.
