A festive layout to layout railtour...

Saturday 19th December saw GWR 4900 'Hall' Class, 5972 'Olton Hall', hauling the festive 'The Lebworth Christmas Market' from Templeton on the S&DR to Lebworth on the Rothwell Haigh Railway. 2015 has been a successful year for Railtours to and from the S&DR and it is hoped that more will be planned for 2016.
Here we is 5972 'Olton Hall' first departing from Templeton, followed by her really working the long climb from RAF Staverton, up to and though Blackmoor Mendip. The sound of her on the climbs is astronomical!

Hope you enjoy!

Been a while since I've posted in this topic, been busy with a number of things. One of which, is the filming and editing of this years Spring Steam Gala. This years theme is something I've always wanted to do and something very close to my heart, Somerset & Dorset, marking the 50th Anniversary of the Closure of the famous Mendip Mainline.

The full video of the event is on the way shortly, though hears a little taster of what can be expected...
