Not wishing to be picky, Rob, but when transferring those fixtures to my calendar, I noticed that the Taunton dates of 25/26th October are a Tuesday and a Wednesday....

You may find the audience demographic is not quite what you were expecting.😀

Should be 22nd/23rd.

John

Thanks John.

I was rushing to post prior to going to the pub. All amended.

What - you come back from holiday then go to the pub in the morning....? I can see the attraction of retirement! 😉

Morning all.

... both Bleat Wharf and Sheep Dip have a few exhibition appearances ahead of them, as mentioned previously. ...........

Sheep Dip-Exeter. Matford centre. 25/26th June 2022.

.....

Rob.

Strangely the Exeter MRS website doesn't have a layouts listing, but the  UK model shop directory does - and it shows Bleat Wharf in the listing!

https://ukmodelshops.co.uk/event/23512-TheExeModelRailwaySociety_Exhibition

Have they got it wrong? It would be nice if Sheep Dip is in Exeter & Bleat Wharf in Taunton to avoid having the same layout at both shows.

Hi Rich.

It is wrong. Bleat was due to be at both as at the time of originally booking the shows, I only had Bleat.

However, when I was asked to confirm my attendance earlier this year, I gave Exe mrs a choice of Bleat  or Sheep Dip.  They didn't respond so I put Sheep Dip in.

I agree though, no info on the Exe MRS site is odd, especially as we are under two months away from the show itself.

That's an interesting little building and I'm sure that with a little individuality it would form a centrepiece to a minimalist layout.

Although they've been around for donkeys years, I've always liked hacking these about too.

Never used the PECO ones but the Wills ones are certainly versatile, think these are all built from the other kit.

Evening all,

Long term followers of this thread may remember the occasional diversion in the direction of the Czech Republic.

I have a very long term plan to model a BLT or a through station on a very minor line set in South Bohemia in the mid eighties, prior to the fall of communism.

I only tend to pick up items when there and this is our first visit since August 2020.

A trip to Prague yesterday saw a visit made to a train shop and the roster was added to.

This Bo Bo is still very common though much updated since their build between 1977 and 1986.

I'll post images of the model once back in Blighty but here's an image of the subject of the model.

Will you be modelling the layout in monochrome as well?

Of course. In socialist republic, colour belongs to state. Anything other than monochrome isn't just theft, it's theft for self enrichment.

Which only senior party members are allowed to do...

So the sheep on my layout are decadent, subversive, Western degenerates?

Clearly they are the subjugated lackeys of their anti-democratic, imperialist, running-dog, capitalist overlords and surely yearn for the sweet-tasting pastures of the Workers' Paradise.

Pinkos, in other words? I'm sure I can see the Light on the Hill in the background too (other political persuasions are available).
