RMweb Gold Popular Post NHY 581 Posted June 22, 2020 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted June 22, 2020 Evening all.. Here is the latest addition to the small Southern tank engine roster. Another B4, 30084. The third of the breed and a nice contrast to 30089 and 30096. And as is usual with these little chaps, exemplary running straight from the box, no quality control issues and properly looking the part. Oh dear.............actually the B4 is not small. They are quite big chaps for an 0.4.0T. Next methinks is a Kernow 02. They are reduced and I have a voucher. However, after the Hattons 14xx debacle I have no confidence whatsoever in anything to do with Decidedly Jerky Mechanisms.......sorry DJ Models. They were all cack. Lovely looking models but simply wouldn't run very well ....to the point where they were no use at all. According to Hattons it was my layout that was at fault.....both of them, Mutton and Sheep Lane. Nope, a bit reluctant to repeat the performance. RMweb Premium Tim Dubya Posted June 22, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 22, 2020 Ah, crossed wires Rob. I meant the Kernow 02's not the 14xx Both lovely runners straight outta the box. I've already got an Airfix jobby 1
RMweb Gold NHY 581 Posted June 23, 2020 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted June 23, 2020 Indeed, Tim. That's good news. I did have one. It didn't seem to like the short radius points I use. Seemed to slow through the frogs, as if the b2b were a tad wide...hence my reluctance. Rob. 1
