We had sprouts 3 days in a row, as you'd expect on Christmas day, on boxing day it was cauliflower cheese surprise (the surprise was there were also sprouts in it) and on 27th it was left over veg omelette with of course plenty of sprouts... Still not fully recovered but I have no one else to blame as I cooked it all. 3 1
MrWolf
That actually sounds rather nice and I'm partial to sprouts myself. But you do realise that at some point in the very near future, that lot is going to.... er..... detonate???? 1

I have found that with things that are likely to go bang, the knack is just to be far enough away to still be able to hear the bang but not that near to be affected by it. It is a skill I'm still working on. 1

" I don't like Green Balls" Nobody does, that would mean a nerve wracking trip to a medical specialist... I actually liked sprouts as a child (probably just to be obtuse) my sister however was in the same "Get that food of the devil away from me" camp as your granddaughter. And if eating lots of vegetables is good for you, why are so many vegetarians angry about absolutely everything? 2 2

Back OT, all I have managed to do today is gather up all the bits of my signals project and put them into a sealed container until the rest of the parts arrive. So you're definitely ahead with actually having played with trains today! 2

RMweb Gold NHY 581 Posted January 4, 2022 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted January 4, 2022 That then would appear to be the motive power sorted for the small Southern layout. Not sure of it's origins yet. Both need a bit of a tweak and fettle but pretty happy with these. The T1 was first and then I spotted the 0330. It's a Chivers Finelines kit. The box records the fact that it was built in July 2008 and I suspect it has seen little if any use at all since then. I'm going to post something on Lord and Butler's thread in a bit regarding these and other locos they have. Rob. I'm assuming L&B don't list their secondhand locos on their website? Though by the looks of your haul, that's probably good for my bank balance... 1

Seems like a nice job has been done of it. The chassis is particulary neat. L&B will be updating their website in due course. They have a significant number of these locos which they are still working their way through. All those that I have seen are in either pre-grouping or grouping liveries. Overall they are pretty good, some are simply exquisite. The Caledonian locos look very nice as do some of the early LMS liveries. There's a good number of L&NWR locos in pre-grouping and grouping livery as well as Midland and L&Y types. GWR is also well catered for but three outside framed 4.4.0s went this morning. There are still lots for them to go through. Rob.
RMweb Gold JustinDean Posted January 4, 2022 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 4, 2022 This train shop seems to stock some fine specimens. At first I wanted to know where it is but common sense has now prevailed and I don’t want to know. so where is it? 1
