I dug out the 03 and spent a quiet hour shuffling a couple of wagons about. Much fun and in no way arduous. Who says you can't have fun with two sidings ? My apologies for the poor quality of the photos but hopefully you get the drift. Rob. Realy like how this is shaping up Rob. But, it does prompt me to tell of Fathers Day, when my daughter kindly spent much screen time, tracking down figures, to reflect their circumstances i.e. Dairy farmers, granddaughter into horses etc. Duly ordered various individual OO figures. What did I get? ........ a selection of G scale figures, with some OO horses! Why is this relevant? 'Cos your point levers prompted the recollection. Only saying ......... but you can see them for real, I've only seen the pics. All the best TONY

Don't forget, the ground level is yet to be raised and there's the height of the static grass etc then to add. Rob. RMweb Gold Popular Post NHY 581 Posted September 11, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted September 11, 2021 This evening, I have managed a bit of modelling. Inspired by the ex LM&SR brake van, I dug out a Hornby BR standard jobbie, kindly donated by Grahame (BG man) of the parish. A dark wash had been applied and I stripped some of this back using my trusty fibre brushes. Then, as per S.S.O.P ( Standard Sheep Operating Procedure) weathering powders were added as was a dusting of Dark Earth from an aerosol. This is where we are. Still to do is the roof and tweaking of the underframe. Updates to follow. Rob. 17 11
bgman
It's in a far better place now and nicely weathered as we have all come to expect. 4

I've never looked at the adverts before. But I just spotted one with pictures of sheep and pictures of sheds, combined in the same add. Then it morphed into an advert for 'thinking huts'. So, presumably Google ads (or whatever) thinks I'm the kind of person who would like to take a sheep into a hut and then do some damn good thinking. Now, I'm not an expert in AI/Artificial Intelligence, but if that's what AI is coming up with as its vision for the future of mankind, then that may be perceived as slightly worrying. Unless its trying to tell me to move back to Yorkshire?

RMweb Gold Popular Post NHY 581 Posted September 19, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted September 19, 2021 (edited) Morning all. Well, that was a busy few days in work. Two 17hrs shifts, two 16hr shifts and one 13hr shift out of a possible six since Monday has left a somewhat jaded sheep this morning on what is my only day off until next Sunday. My last three days/nights have seen me involved in a little something. On a positive, I did pick up a few handy tips on layout lighting and presentation, especially last night. Later, it would appear that I have an interesting package to open of which more anon. However, I regret to say there is little appetite for modelling matters and tomorrow we are back into the first of three 16hr shift. Good start to the week indeed!. So, a spot of recharging one's batteries is required. But if you can't take a joke............. Rob. RMweb Gold Oldddudders Posted September 19, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 19, 2021 Those are serious hours, Rob. In the railway industry that would simply be illegal, the Hidden Report into the Clapham accident having clearly identified the risks of willing staff working extended hours. I hope your deal with your employer makes it worthwhile. But you must look after Number 1. Please do so!

RMweb Gold Popular Post NHY 581 Posted September 25, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted September 25, 2021 Morning all. No modelling at present, as expected, due to the demands of work. However, a new loco has arrived at Sheep Towers. A Bachmann ex-SE&CR C class. Weathered by Mick Bonwick. Already mapping out the layout to build around it.............
