Yep, likewise. You always seem to capture a certain something with your layouts which lifts them from what could be a fairly stark, minimal subject, and somehow imbues them with a ton of atmosphere. In comparison to Mutton or Sheeps Lane, Dip is quite thronged with structures, but still manages to feel open and expansive, and has a distinctive charm. Top stuff Rob, looking forward to reading your words as well. Al. 1
RMweb Gold NHY 581 Posted October 7, 2020 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted October 7, 2020 Afternoon Al. Thank you for your kind words. Taking a leaf from your splendid portfolio, I would quite like a bit of a bijou extension for Sheep Dip. However, I'll give this some thought before commenting further. I have floated a few potential projects this year that on reflection have been dropped. Ultimately, space is a big consideration at present and having given the whole layout/project thing some thought these last few weeks, I will be attending to a few jobs across all three layouts before adding to that workload. Mindful of this, there are a few purchases to be made over the Winter. 1P from Bachmann for Bleat Wharf. Pecketts for Sheep Dip. Another Radial for Mutton. Bachmann ex-SECR Composite coach for Mutton. Kernow L&SWR Road vans ......for all three. Another Pill Box brake van for Mutton to be lettered for Lamb Regis branch. So it looks set to be quite busy...... Rob. 12 1
RMweb Gold Stubby47 Posted October 7, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 7, 2020 You missed at least 1 prairie off the list, and probably a couple more panniers, not to mention a handful of toads. Are you taking this seriously enough? 1 8 7

Just be sure to take lots more lovely pictures. 2 3

No, you naughty fellow, you wash your mouth out with soap and water! I'll give you a bit of soap for the purposes. Rob, don't worry about the prairie but please do see out more panniers. Just imagine how cute an 8750 would look on Bleat Wharf, one of Templecombe's finest, no doubt. Or a pretty little 64XX visiting Sheep Dip, to say nothing of an adorable little 16XX, when they arrive. Pannierdom is but a few clicks away! 7 1

RMweb Gold Stubby47 Posted October 8, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 8, 2020 I've always thought there was an elegant simplicity about the Q1, unconventional though it is. 1
MrWolf
So ugly it's beautiful. A friend of mine has scratch built about half a dozen in O gauge, because he likes them. His other models are an odd mix of LSWR and L&Y prototypes

Work has intruded this week. I'm hoping to bring Mutton down from the attic later today to assess the extent of the scenic refurb that I know is required. Therefore, we should see a few Muttonesque images emerging. Rob. 11
