Have you never come across the equation Speed of Delivery is inversely proportional to the Degree of Nagging?

CJI.

I'm sure that isn't Kernow's customer service principle. You might want to avoid giving the impression that it might be yours!

It's up to those who involve themselves in customer facing roles to consider whether engagement with a single mildly sardonic photograph is necessary or productive!

"Now Albert had heard about lions,
How they was ferocious and wild.
To see Wallace lying so peaceful,
Well... it didn’t seem right to the child.

So straight ‘way the brave little feller,
Not showing a morsel of fear,
Took ‘is stick with the ‘orse’s ‘ead ‘andle
And shoved it in Wallace’s ear!

You could see that the lion didn’t like it,
For giving a kind of a roll,
He pulled Albert inside the cage with ‘im
And swallowed the little lad... whole!"

You are Donald Rumsfeld and I claim my five pounds.

To be fair what the much, and possibly justifiably, maligned Mr Rumsfeld said did actually make sense, even if the way he put it was somewhat sub-optimal!

As for me, I'll just make myself comfortable and relax while I wait.

Bit of an over-reaction to a light-hearted remark!

As to my own business practice, I defy you to find better - return-of-post in 99% of cases is more than satisfactory, judging by my customers' many complimentary comments.

My engagement, not being in an actual 'customer facing role, and in my own time, was at a useful point, to the thread as a whole by way of a reminder to all. Thank you.

I assure you I was being entirely light-hearted!

Those pesky coincidences, curse them!

Quite - provoke at your peril!

(Under the influence of several excellent Ozzie beers, I got up and recited 'The Lion and Albert' during a Sunday afternoon music and poetry open mike in a classic Ozzie pub.

It went down a storm, not least because I reverted to my native Lancashire accent)!

Not a complaint.

If you get an email APC  it might not be spam as I first thought, it could be your Kernow orders!

(The initial email from APC had no indication who the parcel was from and had a link ).

I had no emails from Kernow MRC (yes I checked my junk mail) so was suspicious.

Early this morning I had two emails from APC confirming it was from Kernow MRC

Anyway by 10:15  today I was the proud owner of two SRM - 85 & 61

@Graham_Muz please can you pass on my thanks and praise to all involved with this project. It is truly superb and well worth the wait.

I was one of those who ordered many years ago, 2016 I think, and had the subsequent request to re-order which I did by phone.

For this reason my re-order didn’t show on my orders on the KMRC website.

I apply the same set of rules when the better half enquires about the DIY that needs doing!

Is that the "No deliver zone" due to the natives being hostile?🙂

I’m delighted to say that despite living in the “No Deliver Zone” mine arrived today care of the Royal Mail having been dispatched Friday.  The model looks stunning, but sadly the wheels are too close together by a factor of 2mm. That’s the downside of modelling in EM.  I now need to work up the courage to start dismantling the model to  re-gauge the wheels.

P.S. the chimney was still firmly attached to the top of the boiler, but thanks for the warning anyway.

Right, who's going to be first to weather the roof like that.

A brief visit to Camborne today resulted in the collection of No.61

An exquisite machine which, whilst not at all in keeping with the 1960s theme, doesn’t seem out of place at Porthgarrow.

If it helps anyones patience, my two ordered 29th December 2014 were shipped today.

so the queue is down to the last 9 years.

😀

p.s. my paid for date was 30th Dec 2022…

My only problem is i’m 4000 miles from home right now.

Fair do's, you were before me in the queue.  I think there's a few more to go yet before it's my turn.🙂
