didcot
Had a couple of pints of Sir Lancelot by the Tintagel Brewery earlier in The Fleur de Lys. A pub frequented by a certain Timelord during his 4th regeneration! Edited June 21 by didcot
RMweb Premium airnimal Posted June 21 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 21 Having a can of the local beer in Novi Sad In Serbia which is a 6.2 % porter or dark ale. Pleasant enough before we explore the delights of Belgrade tomorrow. We will see if there is some interesting local ales there ?

GMKAT7
Good morning folks, A nice surprise to see the Strongarm, haven't had a pint of that since 1992 on a long weekend in Scarbados. One of my drinking buddies on that trip drank it all Sunday lunchtime. He paid the price on our long minibus drive back to Coventry, a very early exit at the facilities! Although it could have been the Old Peculiar he had the previous lunchtime 😂 Sadly, like Rob, he is no longer with us. Cheers, Nigel.
RMweb Premium airnimal Posted June 27 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 27 Well we didn't find much in Belgrade to drink probably because we didn't venture to far because of the heat. We have been cycling in both Serbia and Hungary where we are on our last night before flying back to England. Found a great place in Budapest with some interesting beers. Started we a small glass of 4.4% IPA before going on to the dark oats stout. Really the beer of the week. A coffee stout with good body and very easy to drink even at 6.5%. I tried the American IPA at 7% but went back on to the stout to finish off with. 7
43110andyb
For our Thursday football summer do we are in the oldest Quoits club in the world! Free beer in the kitty and the best pies in the world (IMHO) from the shop behind the club!

RMweb Premium airnimal Posted July 13 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 13 One of my cycling chums looked after his elderly mother full time for about 8 years. Because he wasn't working he had very little money so I gave him one of my bikes. He was very grateful and yesterday he turned up at our house with a large bag of beer from his local Continental shop as a thank you. So tonight I am having a light coloured beer from Latvia which is a honey flavoured lager and is very pleasant. At 5.3% it easy drinking.

RMweb Gold roundhouse Posted July 21 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 21 Been a few years since we had Florists Cactus and really only one place best to drink it is in Delirium Tap house in Brussels. It used to be made with Cactus juice but it got too expensive.

I have tons of the stuff - it's not my tipple, tho' I appreciate all the subtle flavours that make the difference between the various distillers. I LIKE the taste but it gives me terrible heartburn (reflux) at night. Same for 'la goute' (distilled fruit alcohols) over here. Currently trying out some of Lidl's 'Steam-Brew' of various sorts - German Red, IPA and Imperial Stout (all at 7.5%) - the latter reminding me of BrAIns Dark when I lived in Kairrrdiff ................. mmmmmmmmmmmmmm!! Yeah, I know, late to the party and only on page 70 ...... If I have to drink all the way, I'm never going to get there, seeing as you're already on page 113! Hips! Three queers for the Cheen _oh no, she's gorn. Three bottoms up for King then!! :))) Edited August 12 by Philou 1

43110andyb
We ate at a fantastic bar and chose an IPA which was very nice! Kobizz Sausage and Beer house with its own Hop Top brewery. Green Zone 6.4%.
