RMweb Gold Market65 Posted Sunday at 17:24 RMweb Gold Share Posted Sunday at 17:24 Good evening, David. That’s a superb selection of photo’s of the Tanfield Railway, on the 17th June, 2017. I look forward to seeing the photo’s you took yesterday of that railway. BSC_3882, at Andrews House, of Robert Stephenson and Hawthorn, Sir Cecil A Cochrane, heading it’s train out of the station, is a splendid composition. The random assortment of photo’s are most interesting. C4114, at Rothley, of the preserved LNER N2, 4744, running round, in August, 1978, is a most impressive shot of the engine from track level. The photo’s of climbing to Shap at Greenholme and near Scout Green, on the 28th September, 2014, are a fantastic selection. DSC_4409, of DRS, 66429, on a down engineering train, is an excellent photo’ of the 66 and it’s train. Warmest regards, Rob.
RMweb Premium New Haven Neil Posted Sunday at 20:26 RMweb Premium Share Posted Sunday at 20:26 There's John's old loco 62 again, at Tanfield! I used to love going there when we lived in the north-east, steam every Sunday all year around. Lots of character there too, everywhere along the line.

RMweb Gold Market65 Posted 16 hours ago RMweb Gold Share Posted 16 hours ago Good evening, David. That’s a superb selection of photo’s of Flüelen in Switzerland, in 1988, and 1990. C11373, of Re6/6, 11625, on a Basel to Ventimiglia service, on the 17th August, 1988, is a stunning sight, with two church spires set against the mountainous backdrop. Thank you for posting it. The Tanfield Railway photo’s from Saturday 19th October, 2024, are an excellent set. BSC_9093 at Andrews House, with Barclay, Stanley, on a demonstration freight train, is an excellent photo’, and the engine is making a good, purposeful start from the station. The assortment of photo’s are all of interest. C19933, of the River Blyth viaduct from the west, on the 28th December, 1994, is a superb photo’ of the viaduct and it is good that the line will soon be open to passenger trains. lmsforever
Pendos looked much better in Virgin coulors and the whole service was better plus the crews were of a much higher quality than now.
RMweb Gold DaveF Posted 11 hours ago Author RMweb Gold Share Posted 11 hours ago Just a note about today's Swiss photos. I've no idea why the photos are duplicated. When I tried to post them nothing happened, then it worked. When I came to post the Tanfield photos the Swiss set were still in the editor, so I deleted them. At that point I thought the photos had only posted once. Goodness knows what happened next. David

Don't worry about the duplication, I "liked" them both for you and so did a few others. 4
