RMweb Gold Market65 Posted 6 hours ago RMweb Gold Share Posted 6 hours ago Good evening, David. That’s a superb selection of photo’s of five places beginning with B. J5342, at Borrowash of a Class 104 unit on a Leicester to Derby and Crewe service, in July, 1976, is an excellent composition of the 104 in the cutting. The photo’s of the ECML are a fantastic and nostalgic set. C981, at Swayfield, of a Class 55 on an up express train, possibly train 1A32 the 17.00 Newcastle to King’s Cross, in June, 1972, is a splendid shot of a ‘Deltic plus eight’ working. Very best regards, Rob.
RMweb Premium brushman47544 Posted 5 hours ago RMweb Premium Share Posted 5 hours ago J1779 - the Deltic appears to be without a crest, which with the long nameplate would is make it D9004 Queen’s Own Highlander. J5984 is D9021 Argyll & Sutherland Highlander.

If you look at the attached image, you can see that the plate begins and ends underneath the first radiator grille, which it doesn't in David's broadside. D9013 was the Deltic that didn't carry a crest at any time, in blue livery.
