Popular Post Rivercider
Here are two class 50s waiting departure from Exeter St Davids in July 1985, after re-signalling had taken place at Exeter St Davids. On the left 50014 Warspite waits to leave with the 08.11 service for Waterloo, while 50047 Swiftsure stands in platform 1 with the 06.35 Bristol Temple Meads to Plymouth, which also conveyed parcel vans on the rear, so had extended station time at a number of calling points. A copy of this photo appears in my second book 'Railways of the West of England in the 1980s' by Amberley, due out in September 2019. Over 25 images contain class 50s, though not always as the main subject, and a number of locos appear more than once, cheers 25

Powerhaul 70 Pey
Looking and sounding great, 50015 Valiant calls at Irwell Vale station on the morning of Saturday 16th November hauling the diesel diagram on The East Lancashire Railway from Heywood to Rawtenstall. What a locomotive!
RMweb Premium ColinK Posted December 3, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 3, 2019 I’ve just completed digitising/editing another of my cine films. Indeed its my first ever sound cine film, Rail 1981 and 1982, so the quality could be better. But it does start with some class 50s outside Paddington.
Ray M
Didn`t this 1 have yellow window surrounds as well, at 1 time. That would be 3 styles then. white, yellow & what looks like blue, but i think more likely to be black.

Trev52A
Nobody seems to have uploaded any pics yet of the recent Pathfinder Tours trip from Bristol which brought two 50s to Newcastle, so here we go: 50049 'Defiance' + 50014 'Warspite' after arrival at Newcastle on 30th November A nice change at Newcastle in between capturing the last few weeks of the LNER HSTs Trevor

Popular Post Trev52A
Further to my last post about 35 mins ago, my only other sighting of a 50 at Newcastle was in 1981.. On the right, 50010 'Monarch' waits to return south, fresh from overhaul with the Doncaster test train on 26th May 1981. That's 55019 on the left. A nice change at Newcastle in between capturing the last few months of the 'Deltics'! Trevor
