Peter Kazmierczak
Sure looks like Tinsley to me too. The class 50 isn't refurbished, so maybe en-route to Doncaster.

RMweb Premium Gary H Posted August 26, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 26, 2014 004 at Bath Road. 025 at Reading. This was taken a couple of weeks before its demise at Ealing. One of my very early efforts with a camera! Was a 110 Kodak thing IIRC. Warts un'all. I was behind 039 coming into one of the stations between Wolvercote Junction and Evesham whilst unrefurbished 027 with all the taps open comes the other way! Must have been about 1982.

the penguin of doom
Camera phone used to "scan" these prints. I have some notes on the back of some of the prints, but others have no notes. I will edit accordingly with the details later, but anyone who has a better knowledge of the class is welcome to fill the gaps. 50 021 & 50 006, Waterloo. 09/08/86. 50 001, Waterloo. 11/04/88. 50 039, Birmingham International. 12/03/88. 50 040, 50 013, 50 047, Old Oak Common. 11/04/88 50 042, Old Oak Common. 11/04/88. 50 016, Waterloo. 11/04/88. 50 007, Old Oak Common. 11/04/88. 50 021, Birmingham New Street. 21/02/87. Vin
Hi all, The first three photos must be from the 1984 works open day. The first I went too. Great weather, great locos and a fantastic atmosphere. The western region must have been saying ' where are our locos' !!! Vin

jonny777
OK, although they were not that common, at least in my collection. At first glance I thought this was at Dawlish, but the slide mount says Coryton - 29th June 1981 This is near Westerleigh on 13th Dec 1988
royaloak
It is about to enter Coryton tunnel, which is the second tunnel of the five when going from Dawlish. They are Kennaway, Coryton, Phillot, Clerk and Parsons. You must have walked over Kennaway Tunnel to get to the small beach at Coryton.

jonny777
I think this counts as a 50 on a freight train. 50020 has arrived at Bath Road yard box with a consignment of fuel oil for the depot. 20th March 1989
Rivercider
From 1975 on one of my rare Scottish trips, one of my dodgy instamatic photos. 50041 outside the shed at Polmadie, 18/8/75 cheers
jonny777
I also think that a PW train counts as a freight. 50015 heads north away from Temple Meads and is about to pass 47188 - 30th October 1989.
