RMweb Premium Temeraire Posted September 16 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted September 16 (edited) Evening all Well another weekend on the road with Tidworth, this time to Swansea where a good time was had by all. Firstly a big thankyou to the Swansea club for their hospitality and opportunity to play trains and also to @chriscleveland Chris and @Rhysb Rhys for their help and company. Also thanks to Marcus for his appearance on Saturday at the controls, I hope you enjoyed yourself. Saturday night we were joined by @RAY NORWOOD and Richard @mudmagnet who were with Feltham Road plus @37114 Rob with Peasevern Yard who we met for the first time and was on his own. Several beers were sunk and a very nice curry consumed (I recommend Raosi curry house if you are ever in Swansea!), whilst a very 'social' evening was had by all. That's it for this year for Tidworth until February when we are out again which I'll post here soon. Edited Wednesday at 05:34 by Temeraire
RMweb Premium Popular Post Temeraire Posted September 16 Author RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted September 16 (edited) Me again! Pictures from the weekend as I remembered to take some! First up a couple of pics of the last MoD wagon to make it off the workbench at last and it is pictured arriving at Tidworth this weekend. A Warrior vehicle (not sure if its called a tank!) mounted on a Warwell sat in one of the cradles that are used with these things. Both the Warrior and the cradle are from the Trains4U 3D printed range. A busy moment with Ajax on its runround after arrival from London with the 4TC set, 'Eastleigh' waiting the road with a freight and 37068 on the fuel road. 50046 now at the head of its train ready for the off. The quiet afternoon is broken by the 08 positioning tanks at the China Clay loader. 'Scruffy McDuff' 47706 is on its runround before taken it's MoD vehicle train back to the sidings at Ludgershall. Someone is for the highjump for leaving the MoD gate ajar! The following day 'Ajax' is back with the 4TC again joined by 50019 on a ballast train and 'Defiance' completes the hat-trick a long way from its usual haunts in Cornwall. The MoD shunter 270 is captured arranging some vans for collection by a mainline loco in the exchange sidings. D6508 is also back emerging from the 'offscene' MoD headshunt to pick up wagons arranged by the resident shunter. That's all folks! Was really nice to be able catch up with you guys and play trains . I have added a few photos I took of the layout that I've edited in photoshop. Next time I'll have to bring some decent camera equipment! Marcus
