Rail-Online
Hi again, Another oddity spotted on a neg for which I know very little of the details. The LMS built Dia 2113/2131 wagons for carrying 4 removable roadstone 'skips' (a bit like the Hudson tipper skips used on 2ft narrow gauge lines). Before now I have never seen photos of them except in Bob Essery's LMS Wagons. Well this little train was photographed in 1964 at Ambergate and as some were branded 'Hillhead Quarries Hindlow Buxton LNWR' the train could have come from there. Does anyone know where they would have worked to? It must have needed specialist tipping equipment at the receiving end. Tony
Mark Saunders
There are some officials available on the NRM website. From what I understand It seems that they were built postwar as for/part of the Governments Nationalisation of the Trunk Roads! I am sure there is or was a Jidenco kit of these? joseph benjamin
Unfortunately Cambrian Models have not so far made this model because of it's complexity. Has anyone else produced one?

Transfers for this wagon were added to my Cambrian-dedicated transfer sheet when their kit was first announced; unfortunately, the kit has never appeared! Tony The unloading facilities comprised a crawler crane, fitted with equipment to lift and rotate the individual skips - that is the function of the circular 'wheels' on the ends of the skips. CJI.
