Module00
Hello, I weathered my last locomotive myself. It is the class 37254 liveried blue of the BR. This locomotive is DCC SOUND. You can see more photos and articles on my 00 gauge layout on my blog.
Marcus 37
Hi Module If that's the first one you've done it looks very good. I'm not brave enough unfortunately to do mine. What I might have to do is buy a cheap Lima Class 37 and have a go. I will need an airbrush as well. Excellent job mate. Cheers Marcus

Module00
I ended the details of my weathered. I handled the hoods of extremity, the railings of ventilators and reservoirs of diesel oil.

Module00
Good evening, Think you that it is possible to use these road signs for the railroad?
Waverley West
That style was certainly in use back in the 80s, Alain - but not the one with the black line on a white background on the right - that was only used on the roads. There was/is a 35mph speed limit sign in that style back in the 1980s in Princes Street Gardens, Edinburgh, I know that much. In the era you are generally modelling though, the style described as "Permissible speed indicator (old design") in the website below was much more common... .. http://railsimroutes.net/driversguide/lineside_signs.php
Module00
Hello Waverly West. For the one with the black line on a white background on the right, I did not even ask the question. I know that it is a road sign. I wanted to speak only four signs with indicated speeds. These signs look like certain signs railroad. That's why I ask the question. Thank you for the web link. You know Web sites where it is possible to order signs old type and new type. The period of my layout is 1967 to 1995. Waverley West
I just wanted to make sure Alain! That web link should tell you all you need to know. The "road-style" speed signs are more modern. 1967 to 1995 is quite a span of years to model with any accuracy as the railway changed so much in that time, as I'm sure you are aware. Either style will do, but from what I've seen of your photos, the older style signs would probably be more appropriate for your needs. For the older signs, you could try: http://pufferwillies.co.uk/uk2ecommerce/product/roger_smith_rs002_00_scale_br_speed_restriction_signs/ For the newer ones, you could probably just do a search on Google (other search engines are available) and print out some suitable signs.
