Is that another 'time travelling ' driver checking his phone before getting back into the cab?

Can anyone remember or point me in the right direction for the the dates and which works the 'LM 5' were fitted with dual brakes prior to the ongoing DB fitting that started in 1969? (first one being 274 in 4/69)

Locos were D370, D371, D377, D378, D380.

If it helps:-  I have D370/1/7 all at Doncaster in 3/64 (and D377 at Swindon Works for a couple of weeks later in March 64)- testing??

D380 was at Doncaster in 4/64 but cannot see D378 anywhere at that period.

If anyone can help dlayland(AT)blueyonder.co.uk      replacing (AT) with @

Many thanks

Two years later it came a cropper when standing in for a failed 08 on the Rugby to Bilton Sidings daily trip job, nobody had checked to see if 40s were allowed into the Cement Works sidings and it came off the road on the sharp curve whilst propelling loaded coal wagons over Parkfield Road level crossing. Oops!

Just to show that it is possible to see right through the gap between the body and bogies, here's a snap of 40158 heading north from Wigan.
