The pipes seen being laid are drainage/sewer pipes. Utility pipes are colour coded, yellow=gas blue=water green=telecoms black=sewers/drains, I'm not sure what colour is used for electric now, red?

Hi

When they laid a new electricity supply in our village last year it was laid in black corrugated pipe.

Cheers

Paul

well. its not raining so I hope the 'droplets'

are not the result of a high sea spraying the webcam

Looking out the door no moon visible at all

 maybe low cloud/sea mist

EDIT;-

but it was high tide 1/2 hour ago

and these are the spring tides

High highs

& very low lows

 good for tideline searches

specially with the low sand levels

which begs the  question why Rospa don't list the purple used for the traffic cameras and matrix signs on the motorways and Major A roads

I wondered what the purple conduit was that's being applied  on top of the new concrete central barriers on the M1 & M6, now I know!

Thank you John

is it Passing times at the warren?

or does it stop in the loop for

Regular services to pass

If it stops

that would be a good photo point

Regular services to pass

Looks that way. SNG and train booked into loop both ways. Arr 12.48 / Dep. 12.58 in down direction and Arr.18.07 / Dep. 18.19 going up.

Link will give full timings (click on 'this week') though the one for St. David's coming down is clearly not correct.

Hi all,

The ducting used for electric should be corrugated black, smooth on the inside, two meters in length and either 4 inch or 6 inch (100mm  or 150mm) for the mains cable and smooth 38mm alkathene tube for the services. All with "ELECTRIC" stamped on them at regular intervals.

Low voltage cables are black, High Voltage cables 11,000 volts are red while 33,000 are black.

Back on topic, I believe that it is all service cables here, So therefore a 100 meter coil of alkathene tube may be used but direct lay of cables may be used.for heat loss. (Ducting generates heat and reduces cable rating),

I'll be watching the replacement of the electric with great excitement.

Hope this helps.

Chris

Apologies if it's already been mentioned, but security guy by sea wall entrance in Teignmouth said another 6-8 weeks before public access returns. Damage is more fundamental in places than thought - he said a digger fell 3m into a previously unknown cavity (well they all are until you find 'em) a few days ago.
