RMweb Gold roundhouse Posted June 21, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 21, 2018 (edited) Well, I have made progress if Paul hasn't. Paul kindly sent me the JMRI file for the CV values on his 2-10-2's . My first one now runs much smoother. Just needs another sound decoder for my 2nd loco. Coaches now weathered. Look forward to being able to run them on Pauls layout at some point in the future. However my next layout could be a Harz NG one. RMweb Gold PaulRhB Posted June 21, 2018 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted June 21, 2018 (edited) Paul, How is progress? Bill It's stacked up in the spare room for a while working on some other things, including the HOn30 US layout, as it's not got any bookings until March next year. It'll be back out in the autumn to do some more work on Brunnenbachsmühle and Walkenried to add the rest of the light rig. RMweb Gold PaulRhB Posted September 15, 2018 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted September 15, 2018 Well the Harz living up to expectations 6 locos on shed in steam at 10pm, this one by my mate Russ as the iPhone is rubbish in the dark! And a couple up the Brocken. We also had a rare four way meet at Drei Annen Hohne as a charter was doing a Gernrode to Brocken special! Loads of action Just below the summit Not bad when the summit was still in cloud as we arrived!

RMweb Gold PaulRhB Posted September 15, 2018 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted September 15, 2018 (edited) I missed that, too busy riding up n down the Brocken! brian daniels
There is certainly a turntable at Wernigerode shed and track plans I have (dated 1946) also show them at Nordhausen shed and Westerntor works. Although I've been round the works several times I don't recollect seeing one so maybe it's no longer there. The Nordhausen based loco works chimney first uphill to DAH where it swaps trains with a Wernigerode based loco so it doesn't have to go up the Brocken bunker first. Ray. Just had this out of Nordhausen bunker first and it went up the Brocken at Drei Annen Hohne.
RMweb Gold Oldddudders Posted September 16, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 16, 2018 I have yet to get south of Eisfelder Talmühle, and haven’t been by train to Hasselfelde or Harzgerode, nor round the Stiege loop, but have otherwise done all the mileage, albeit some in railcars, which I actually rather like. Sherry and I managed to film just by the former Sud Harz crossing near Stiege, with the car parked on the line of the former dividing fence between East & West Germany. Surreal. Pics will have to await my return to France at the end of the week.

Must be Paul’s idea of heaven or not far from it, Dan Got a free slice of cake at Drei Annen Hohne cafe today as it fell apart. So she gave me another one then decided she couldn't bin the broken bit so gave me it. It was lovely too. RMweb Gold Oldddudders Posted September 18, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 18, 2018 I hadn’t twigged that the Kamels were radio-controlled until a long shunt was propelled into Wernigerode, ostensibly with a shunter on the front. It was only when I realised there was no-one in the cab, and the guy seemed to have rather a cumbersome console around his neck that the penny dropped.
