RMweb Gold Alister_G Posted September 28, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 28, 2013 I tried to look up a loco on the BR database site (http://www.brdatabase.info) this evening, but it timed out. Has anybody else noticed when it stopped working?
RMweb Gold TheSignalEngineer Posted September 28, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 28, 2013 It was OK this morning but I can't get it at the moment.
RMweb Gold RFS Posted September 29, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 29, 2013 I can access it OK. Presumably it is on a server that was undergoing maintenance, something that is often done at weekends.
Lochinvar
Unobtainable again when I tried to access it a couple of times today. Hope that it's just a temporary glitch,as it's a very useful resource. DR

Robin Gristwood
The site is down again. This time it says: "Resource Limit is Reached The website is temporarily unable to service your request as it exceeded resource limit. Please try again later." I hope its back soon, the information in the database is invaluable
philsandy
The site is down again. This time it says: "Resource Limit is Reached The website is temporarily unable to service your request as it exceeded resource limit. Please try again later." I hope its back soon, the information in the database is invaluable The site was not working 100% a couple of weeks ago or so, it was there, but you could not access any of the categories. I sent an email to the site and Ian replied saying he was on to it and it was back up working in a couple of days. But as you say Robin it is now completely down. Hope it gets up again soon, it's great for tracking a locos shed history. RailUK is a good site but it only gives a locos first BR shed (1948) and its last before withdrawal. EDIT: Hooray it's working again!

RMweb Gold tractionman Posted January 2, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 2, 2017 Last time I looked at the site there was a notice about cyber attacks being directed at it - it's such a valuable resource, I use it a lot, so glad to hear it is up and running again. I used to use the Timewarp 1980s Gen site a lot to look at 1980s workings but then it went offline - a salutary warning that we shouldn't expect these sort of 'free' (to user) web-sites to be around forever... all the best, Keith
