I did wonder, 'though, whether there might be some quality in the paint which gave the swings of colour density. Maybe very hard [like quartz] coarse Matting compound which is also transparent and reflects lots of light when the Sun shines on it. Perhaps used to make very hard weather resistant paint ?? Now the camera battery has had a re-charge,I can now shew, the bridge in place, its yet another of my "mock-ups".
