It's in Flitwick  but 'Woburn' supposedly sounds better.

It's closer to Ampthill than Flitwick. The site used to be a commercial pine plantation, part of the Woburn Estate, known as Steppingley Woods.  As a kid I used to cycle up there and through the woods and have picnics (there was public access).  I used to collect spent shotgun cartridges left by the guys who culled the wood pigeons.  And it was all free.

Edit; They say "Never go back"; I've just been nosing around the area on Streetview and I'm really depressed.  We drove that way about 5 years ago but on the way from Woburn to Silsoe.  I saw then a lot has changed but not how much.  The Chequers at Millbrook has closed.  We used to go in the garden after summer picnics.

Except trains do drive on the left in France, except for one shortish line that used to be German.

I know, I know but it's not my fault, so please form an orderly queue to "groan".....

I'm reading a book titled  "The History of the Miniskirt. "

The author is Seymour Neaze.

We are now opening groan queue 2.
