grahame
I don't think I've posted this pic before but even if I had it'll probably have been lost in the recent web hosting kerfuffles. It's a partially complete N/2mm scale scene of a gas holder station and is mostly scratch-built. The holder is heavily bashed from a plastic kit by converting what was the above ground water tank in to a more appropriate and correct three lift type with below ground level tank: Edited May 2, 2022 by grahame 15
grahame
I've also added a few details to my N/2mm model of St Thomas's church, and here it is temporarily plonked in situ with the buildings either side: 10

RMweb Gold Popular Post Captain Kernow Posted November 11, 2022 RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted November 11, 2022 A couple of cottages I built for Re6/6's layout 'Parkend Marsh Sidings', based on actual prototype buildings. This is the Police House, built mainly from plasticard: This is the cottage immediately adjacent to the Police House, known to Re6/6 and me as 'The Other House'. This was built from card using Scalescenes stone paper: 10

RMweb Gold ikcdab Posted November 21, 2022 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 21, 2022 My four scratchbuilt signalboxes. All based on actual prototypes. Built from card using Scalescenes components. All of these have been built from photos of the originals. I use Coreldraw to create my own kits, which are hugely influenced by the way Scalescenes design theirs. Below, this based on Tulse Hill. Fitted with interior and lighting This is based on Farncombe East. With full interior and lighting, though that was added after this photo was taken. Based on Broad Clyst. No interior yet, but this has lighting. Based on Lymington Quay. No interior or lighting yet! 10
