alastairq
I wonder if it was the Peerless that was serialised in its rebuilding in Practical Carsicks? 1

This collection included two P6 saloons, a P6 estate conversion, an SD1, a TR6 and a Dolomite. He passed away over the summer and a schoolfriend has just found his house for sale. Sadly it appears that the P6s and the Dolly have been left to rot for some time and appear to now only be fit for the scrapyard, although one of the P6s was issued with a new logbook in June. https://www.snapes.co.uk/propertydetails.aspx?propertyid=10001865&fbclid=IwAR0M-D-gNt9D41jYaHtiGBYtvjuS5YSsJGtc7eP7gY9o8n0StJIgY4vwZlo Some Youtube videos of the cars being checked:- All the best Katy

RJS1977
More (somewhat happier) news about my teacher's car collection - although it would appear the 75s were confiscated by DVLA for being on the road without tax (which makes it even stranger that they appear to have no record of them...).

Rugd1022
Just got back from the Midlands Italian Car Day at Gaydon, the drizzle and grey skies could easily have put a lot of people off but the turn out was pretty good overall, not a Lamborghini in sight but plenty of Alfas and Fiats with a dozen or so Maseratis, six or seven Ferraris, an Innocenti Mini Cooper and a smattering of Lancias, here are a few photos to be going on with....

RMweb Premium PhilJ W Posted August 21, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 21, 2021 (edited) What next, a Japanese car day? Seriously though a lot of foreign cars have been produced in this country starting with Daimler in the late 19th century, followed by Ford (model T) in 1908. Both those and some other makes have gone on to become 'British' makes. Edited August 21, 2021 by PhilJ W

Rugd1022
I'd say it's just a case of the museum being centrally located and five minutes away from the M40, it's a good venue anyway whatever marque happens to be featured in any given show. Some more shots of the lovely Pinifarina designed and built Fiat 124 Spider, I was really taken aback with how good it looked yesterday.... It wouldn't surprise me at all if the RHD conversion was done by the Fiat 124 Specialists Middle Barton Garage in Oxfordshire.

Rugd1022
Just came across this little burst of instant nostalgia - Kenneth Cope reunited with 'BAP 245B' back in the '90s, the 1964 Mk1 Mini that he, Mike Pratt and Anette Andre drove in 'Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased)' over fifty years ago.... (It was also driven albeit very briefly by Tony Curtis in an episode of 'The Persuaders!' in 1970)
