CraigZ Posted June 27, 2013 Share Posted June 27, 2013 This ginormous line of Railboxes had been stored at a closed coal fired power plant in eastern North Carolina were pulled out, assembled into train 10D, and moved west.Β Somebody said they counted 150 cars.Β No word on the fate of the cars.Β Oh, and be certain to turn down your computer's volume before watching the vid. pH Posted June 30, 2013 Share Posted June 30, 2013 In 2010, we drove south down US395 in northern California, alongside the out-of-service Union Pacific (ex-Southern Pacific) Modoc line. There were literally miles of boxcars stored out of use on what had been the running lines, from many of the companies that UP had absorbed over the years.
