RMweb Premium Steadfast Posted April 2, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 2, 2020 (edited) Not quite live, but taken about an hour ago 66720 Westbury Down Yard by Steadfast Fotography, on Flickr 66720 tucked up for the night at Westbury after working 6V41 from Eastleigh, replacing 66778 which has been on this working recently. Later in the morning, the loco will take the Super Tench behind it, along with a Rail Delivery Train, to Eastleigh as 6O41. RMweb Premium Steadfast Posted April 13, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 13, 2020 A few from me over the last few days Blue and yellow by Steadfast Fotography, on Flickr Finally got a Maritime on the bins! Not a location I would expect to get one, either! 66005 'Maritime Intermodal One' leads 6C03 Northolt - Severnside along the down reception at Westbury. The loco was experiencing issues, but thankfully the train was top and tailed, so the driver contacted the signaller and got put into Westbury to reverse and use the tail loco to lead to Bristol. West Sussex bound Sixty Six - Six by Steadfast Fotography, on Flickr Stabled over the Easter break, 66623 sits in Westbury at the head of the following Tuesday's 7O52 to Chichester. Prior to the Easter closure, Mendip traffic was still going quite strong as terminals stockpile stone. How long will the stockpiling continue before the depots run out of space? The mixed bag of wagons to the right are sat in the cripple sidings waiting attention from the wagon maintenance guys. Ballast for Burngullow by Steadfast Fotography, on Flickr 66084 sits in Westbury yard atop a train for the weekend, 6W01 to Burngullow, formed of 10 sidetippers and 66004 on the rear. Once returned from Cornwall on Sunday evening, both locos went to South Wales on 0V14 from Eastleigh, which calls at Westbury to pick up and drop off locos. Old (ish) loco, new track by Steadfast Fotography, on Flickr On one of the warmest days of the year so far 66170 sits in the virtual quarry at Westbury, stabled atop the bulk ballast set which would be unloaded after the bank holiday weekend. The neat ballast and trackwork is a result of the recent relaying work, as can be seen the ballast didn't have to be moved far from the stock pile to the worksite!
