RMweb Premium newbryford Posted September 15, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 15, 2018 We've got 153/6/170/90/DVT and Mk3 in GA white - they don't look too bad as long as they are cleaned reasonably frequently. TBH, GBRf do keep their locos fairly clean - there are exceptions though! Cheers, Mick

There is red there but it's not particularly visible in any kind of light eg it's just about visible around the edge at 10/11/12 o'clock here:

RMweb Gold 4630 Posted October 1, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 1, 2018 (edited) Winter must be coming as the 'top-up' coal runs to Fiddlers Ferry Power Station from Redcar via the Calder Valley have recommenced today. With a 'timed load' of 2,200 tons, Freightliner 66546 approaches Brighouse on 1st October 2018 with 6M17, 08.53 Redcar High Level to Fiddlers Ferry. It's showing in the schedule as a 'STP' (Short Term Plan) Monday to Friday for this week, but if it follows the pattern set previously it'll continue to run most weeks for awhile. http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/R03717/2018/10/01/advanced The returning empties, 4E17, runs overnight. KDG
Complete with europhoenix 37901 in front Apologies, slightly off topic. Has 37901 still got it's trial Mirlees engine, or has it now been replaced with a standard class 37 power unit? Great pic Jim thanks.
KDG
According to another forum, it does still have it's Mirlees power unit, and possibly a spare Mirlees engine too.

RMweb Gold roundhouse Posted October 23, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 23, 2018 This morning at Merstham, I had been waiting for an RHTT but it reversed at Redhill rather than head north as booked. Some of these are using 66's but others 73's at present. Anyway I managed to get the Purley to Tonbridge empties.
RMweb Gold 4630 Posted October 23, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 23, 2018 (edited) With the Calder Valley route closed for a 72 hour engineering blockade as per my posts here http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/138565-re-signalling-and-re-control-of-the-calder-valley-20th-22nd-october-2018/&do=findComment&comment=3340962, all freight scheduled over the line on 20th & 21st October was cancelled. Freight scheduled for 22nd October was instead routed via Standedge Tunnel, resulting in rare day time freight on the Huddersfield line. DB Cargo 66129 at Colne Bridge with 6Z16, 08.55 Arpley Sidings to Milford West Sidings. Freightliner 66605 at Colne Bridge with 6M22, 12.58 Drax AES to Tunstead Sidings. RMweb Premium Claude_Dreyfus Posted October 28, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 28, 2018 (edited) Paid another visit to Todmorden yesterday. This time there wasn't a lot running - however I managed to catch one of the Drax biomass trains. 66705 heads the 4M37 09:22 Drax Aes to Liverpool Biomass Terminal. Annoyingly, the front of the loco was a little blurred and I didn't get the light quite right - it was running 8 minutes early at this point, so I didn't have any time to set myself up properly. When I lived at Waterlooville and my mate George T of this Parish lived at Gosport, Eastleigh and Soton Maritime were two of our favourite haunts of an evening.
