RMweb Premium JZ Posted June 18, 2013 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 18, 2013 Arrived today. Had a good look through the instructions while it stood for it's recommended 4 hours before switch on. 2. This appliance has been designed to operate in ambient temperatures up to 32 degrees C (90 degrees F) and is equiped with 'Freezer Guard' which ensures that at the advised setting [4-four on the control] the frozen food will not defrost if the ambient temperature falls as low as -15°C. Does this mean it will defrost if it falls to -16°C On another note. I bought a white one. The same model was also available in silver, £60 more and black, £80 more. RMweb Gold Tony_S Posted June 18, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 18, 2013 Many fridge freezers don't work if the ambient temperature falls below whatever specified temperature. This can be a problem for people who keep the device in a garage or shed. I think white fridges look nice too. Our freezer is a 1976 model. I think they were only white then!
