The Border Reiver Posted October 7, 2022 Share Posted October 7, 2022 Class 37 D6857 (later 37157 then 37695) hauls an east bound freight under the bridge at Newport High Street station in June 1964. Built by the English Electric Vulcan Foundry 25 July 1963. It was initially allocated to Cardiff Canton shed and was still allocated there when this photo was taken. It was transferred to Polmadie 20 August 1966 and remained in Scotland until it was withdrawn from Motherwell shed on 1 March 2004.
