Phill Dyson (onslaught832)
Love the BR era Tractors Here's one from my spotting days, I'm guessing Canton?.......circa 1976? & approximately 40 years later, this Saturday 16 July 2016 at Grosmont NYMR.....
Great Western
37057 and 421 worked a Cardiff Canton to Cardiff Canton via Tower Colliery, Merthyr, Treherbert and Barry lsland test working 1Q58 2150 departure. It didn't make it to Tower Colliery due to no shunted being available, so the train ran about 2hrs early throughout. 37421 is pictured at Merthyr and 057 is picured at Treherbert.
Wayne 37901
Here's a shot from me of 37421 and 057s tour around the valleys. This is 37421 standing at Coryton station just after 0100hrs this morning before heading to Queen St to gain the Cardiff Bay branch and then to Rhymney. The shot doesn't do this rare loco hauled working along this particular branch justice, but it's one for the records anyway. Cheers,

Had I not been rest day under the threat of death if I worked it next week I very nearly had a 'being conducted' job to wick and Kyle of lochalsh with a 37 DBSO combo

RMweb Premium ColinK Posted July 21, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 21, 2016 Nice pic of the Scarborough Spa; I'm tempted to ride it or/and video it, not for the steam but for the 37s.

Apparently "part fares" are available on this train, so you don't have to waste money on kettle haulage................... (ducks for cover) Cheers, Mick Ahhhh, but you do get kettle haulage as the loco change is done in Holgate Sidings, not the station.
