I like the clever anti-spill device for the solvent bottles...two old rolls of masking tape- ingenious! Obviously, mighty forces have been at work here.

Not to be outdone, here's a pic of my workshop this very moment:

And here's a shot of some more clay dries I am building, old ones this time, pre 1960's:

How much do you pay for superglue and activator ?

Eurocell, "SilverSil" 50 gram bottle, £2.20, can of "SilverSil" activator, £2.20 - third of what the Hobbyshops charge.

I buy it in packs of 24 from the Eurocell branch in Scunthorpe and am thinking of hanging wall paper with it at those prices !

Head office.

Eurocell Building Plastics, Birchwood Way, Alfrfeton Derbyshire, DESS 4QQ or - visit eurocell.co.uk - or telephone, 08000 77 88 88

Cheers.

Allan

Edited to say that if you Google "Silversil Superglue" it will take you to their site showing all their products and prices but though still cheap when compared to the model/D.I.Y. trade, it's still dearer than what I pay for it a the Eurocell Plastics trade counter in Scunthorpe.

Right guys, the castle's finished, took a week to build and I don't want to build another - well not this month anyway !

As castles go, it represents a very unobtrusive image in low relief - a full blown castle would take all of a Wicks door plus a couple more from B&Q !

Cheers.

Allan.

A few outside shots ( natural light beats contrived flash - even in the pxxxxng down rain ! )  and apart from that now well milked castle, a contrasting shot between  the hotel and it's reduced rebuild. The larger effort of the two is sold, when I get round to posting it,and, naturally there's a story.

A couple of weeks ago I decided to deliver it to the buyer client down South and while we were there visit my bro and my partners family.

An hour into the journey just as we hit the M1 South we were well on our way but the building wasn't - what was the all original purpose for the journey was still standing on a shell back home gathering even more dust !

Needless to say, wifey got the blame - as usual.

Cheers.

Allan.

Dr Gerbil. I can't help thinking you're on thin ice here,careful you don't upset Allan he might well have built that lean-to himself.It has some thing of a Downesendian home spun vigour to it,and the weathering of the woodwork is really most convincing.Personally I'm going to play for safety and probably get the order of the brown nose,by saying;

Nice lean-to Allan, did you make it yourself ?
