I thought normally that sort of move would have barrier wagons. or is that not the norm now? GBRF have three class 47s (47 727, 739, 749) which are fitted with translator and dellner couplings so can work with the Anglian stock without the need for a barrier vehicle. RMweb Gold wombatofludham Posted November 18, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 18, 2020 I used to live in Handsacre half way between Rugeley and Lichfield, and used to use Lichfield TV a lot. I only once saw an engineers train using the WCML-South Staffs link in all the years I used the station. Nice to hear it is going to be used on a regular basis although I think it does see some Voyager movements to and from Barton under Needwood off the WCML. mikejames
It doesn't look much of a load but I guess it takes time to build up? I suppose deciding to run a new 'flow' is a commercial judgement. Mike j

Fat Controller
I wonder if these Seaforth workings are related to the alleged congestion difficulties at Felixstowe, Southampton and London Gateway?

First rule in operating ANY machinery = Where's the STOP button? Second rule = where's the warning device (horn, whistle, etc.)? Third rule = how to start this thing! I must confess to liking the Police approach to taking a car on patrol - familiarise yourself with the controls and indicator panel before starting!
