RMweb Gold Popular Post big jim Posted July 30, 2020 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted July 30, 2020 Some from this evening, shotton to shrewsbury shotton, thought I’d better get some pics of the 150/2 as they will so be replaced by 230 units And climbing away toward hawarden And another dropping in to the high level station And in came my train, 66715 In Wrexham I parked up in the local meadow And admired the flowers And into shrewsbury lots of different types of signals to be seen in one shot (even a lower quadrant in the distance!) and that’s it until Monday night
RMweb Premium corneliuslundie Posted July 31, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 31, 2020 Interesting that it has evidently been decided not to bother reliverying the 150s. And I hope you didn't leave your train for the day in platform 7 at Shrewsbury! I think if one has the right path into Salop one can pass lower quadrant, upper quadrant, conventional colour light and LED colour light signals. There is certainly plenty of variety. And I suspect that some of the lower quadrant ones will outlast the LED ones. Great photos, as always. Jonathan

Young len Jones
179 followers, that's an Omen, I was in 179 gang Shrewsbury Pway. Dad was Len Jones, Driver at Shrewsbury, 44yr career. Spent last year of my shoveling career based at Baschurch. Shock to the system after being in Station gang. 1 road up, 1 road down. Mind numbing Lol. I do miss the old station gang. Under PWME Crewe though, not Birmingham lol

RMweb Gold wombatofludham Posted August 6, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 6, 2020 I'm probably the only one who thinks this but it will be slightly ironic that two fleets of 90s that will regularly pound their old manor have almost reversed liveries - Grand Central overall black with an orange stripe and Frightliner's orange with two black stripes. It's the sort of irrelevant nonsense that appeals to me, sorry... 5 1
