Siggie in the east
I moved out of Risborough back in 2001 and the stations there and at Kimble haven't changed much if at all. Always good to see photos of places around the chiltern line, many thanks Jim.
RMweb Gold big jim Posted December 16, 2019 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted December 16, 2019 id agree about kimble not changing but risborough is totally different even since i first started going down there in 2010, new centre road, bi directional signalling, chinnor railway in the back platform, signal box open to the public i suppose since 2001 the line will have been doubled north of risborough too

I didnt realise it was now BiDi signalling as well. Maybe I need to take a trip down there next time I visit my Dad, or see what google maps can show me! Iron Horse
You'll be going past my new house tonight Jim, about 1/4 mile before the Willaston crossing I'll look out my window

Iron Horse
Of course, always in my shorts To be fair because we've been moving I haven't been out that much, but I'll be making up for it soon and no modelling time is killing me. I'm hoping to build a viewing platform against the annoying sound deadening fence (which does nothing with a class 70 coming up the hill ) when I really get to grips with the place. Any time you go past tunes are always welcome And Merry Christmas to you and thanks for the continued supply of pictures.........without which I would never have dreamt of running a 66 and a single VGA

RMweb Gold Popular Post big jim Posted December 26, 2019 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted December 26, 2019 Couple from last night and this morning, possession in Wolverhampton didn’t move at all for the whole night as there were 2 railvac’s working behind the train back to it again tonight to take the train off site back to bescot

RMweb Premium newbryford Posted December 30, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 30, 2019 Looks like the Hanson branded JPAs are to be used on the Penyfford flow and PCAs will be the order of the day on the Clitheroe-Avonmouth. (Today's 6M82 to Clitheroe has three JPAs and the rest are PCAs)
RMweb Gold Popular Post big jim Posted December 30, 2019 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted December 30, 2019 (edited) Some from today, driving a road learning loco bescot to hams hall and Landor st, a few trips Back and forth Bescot with 66751 Whitacre jn to turn back into hams hall, I do like 66751 with its extra pipes, huge horn housing, weird lights and square buffers! It’s also a non low emission loco Outside hams hall where we swapped with 66737 (it’s certainly been a busy loco over Christmas, it’s been to Clitheroe, Wolverhampton, penyffordd amongst other places! You can just about make out 3 66s in the yard as well as the 2 on the reception! and back to bescot before heading off again to water Orton and back to bescot Edited December 30, 2019 by big jim
RMweb Gold Popular Post big jim Posted December 31, 2019 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted December 31, 2019 2nd day of road learning, starting in hams hall this time with 66752 over to bescot then back to water Orton And back to bescot to stable while we were there one of DRS new acquisitions rolled in to work a train to Toton, nice weathering on it
