Swifty11
glad it's in the public domain but no one has told me! I'll do some more digging on it, seemingly the word spreading is these have moved across and it has showed on a TOPS list, may well be someones sarcastic joke somewhere? Cheers, Mick Thanks for that, now what's your address for me to get it sent to to save me the trouble of doing one myself! If it is true then at least if they are used on the IM trains they don't need the HEP (ETH) running so it will be a bit quieter for the drivers
RMweb Gold Andy7 Posted January 5, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 5, 2017 I have a pair of 67's waiting to be done when the real ones are repainted. Looks like Colas gains another loco class! Great thread Jim keep the pictures coming.

Swifty11
From WNXX: " Colas Class 67s... 67023 at Crewe EMD and 67027 at Toton, the two Class 67s offered for sale by DBC a few weeks ago, have been reallocated to the COTS (Colas storage pool) from WQAA this afternoon. On the system the ownership codes currently still list them as DBC traction but this will probably change. "

leavesontheline
That last shot is awesome mate! That shot reminds me of the 1980's film 'The Fog' with Jamie Lee Curtis! Don't think I remember any Class 37's in it though!
jamesg
Excellent shots of 37254. I was fortunate to see 37254 leading a different train to Cardiff a few days ago, bright yellow locomotives and trains look fantastic at night.
RMweb Gold ruggedpeak Posted January 8, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 8, 2017 (edited) Jim You need to speak to your management (and an agent!) about getting your own TV series. Your photos are awesome but something along the lines of "Stobarts Trucks and Trailers" ("Colas Jim down on the tracks") would have us glued to the TV (and be far better!). A weekly 30 minutes of that would be fab BBC might go for it after Trainspotting Live? Rails Sheffield are doing TTS 67s at £119.50...... Buy via their website - £4 postage. Buy via their ebay shop - £2 postage........ For info Scograil have them at £118.95 and free postage. Bargain wherever you get it. Iron Horse
Hi Jim, am I right in saying that the Baglan Logs don't run anymore? I guess the factory either has enough coming down from the north or they have run out of trees in Wales!!!!!! Thanks for the continued updates

Thanks for the continued updates Some of the logs that might otherwise have gone to Chirk could be going to the wood-chip-fired power station at the other end of Port Talbot. RMweb Gold Popular Post big jim Posted January 12, 2017 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted January 12, 2017 some from tonight, 37099 warrington to derby via basford hall yard, not many class 1 trains go through there! and off to a hotel for some sleep, important meeting later today!
RMweb Gold Popular Post big jim Posted January 14, 2017 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted January 14, 2017 (edited) Some from last night, 37057 crewe to rugby via Birmingham, transit to Stafford then 30mph all the way there and back then off to derby via Sutton park! Crewe Stafford New st Had fun in the way back from rugby, got warned about a member of public on the line north of Wolverhampton so had to go at caution between there and the next signal, didn't see anything but kept going slow beyond the signal and over the north jn before getting up to 30 mph to continue recording, then about 1/2 mile further on the viaduct I spotted him walking along the 4ft on the opposite side, bought the train to a stop, got the line blocked and went for a look to see if I could find him (with one of the OTTs) anyway found him and asked what he was up to to which he replied he was just walking to the next station, when I asked him what the next station was he said 'bilbrook' which is indeed the next station past Wolverhampton, unfortunately it's the next station in the line to Shrewsbury not the line we were on! He also explained to me that he wasn't stupid as he saw me coming and got out of the way, my reply was it's pretty stupid to be walking along an open railway line across a viaduct in the snow wearing no more on top than a t shirt! Anyway we picked him up and told him we would drop him at the next station, what we didn't say was the next station was Stafford and I had arranged for BTP to meet us on arrival, which they did and took him away! So that was that for excitement for the night, back to derby as planned, 2 hours dat in the loop outside the station until I could get on the RTC! Our merl Split box heaven! Europhoenix 37608 Then back in crewe were a railtour was heading off to Liverpool And that was it Edited January 14, 2017 by big jim
