Garry Morris
This loco has languished in Tavistock Junction Yard for several weeks now. I believe with a slipped tyre. Will it go to Buckfastleigh? It could be sorted and on it's way within a few days I would imagine.
RMweb Gold Captain Kernow Posted April 5, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 5, 2013 Yes, it's being taken by low loader to Derby for repair, as I understand it. A colleague was checking on clearances for the road vehicle recently, when it leaves the yard and joins the main road. Apparently it's not fit to travel the whole distance on its own wheels. DavidB
Yes, it's being taken by low loader to Derby for repair I passed it recessed in a 'siding' on the A34 northbound yesterday - a very nice surprise to see an old friend in such unexpected surroundings. Pleased to hear that it's going to be repaired (I suppose a repaint into something less, er, yellow is too much to hope for?!). David
