LC&DR
Has anyone tried to make a double slip in three rail course scale O gauge. If so how do you successfully get the third rail spoons to follow a route on the slips which avoids fouling the running rail and shorting? raymw
Never built third rail, but I guess you'd either have a disconnected/insulated part of the running rails, where the third rail contact crosses or possibly a small, slightly raised checkrail (plastic or otherwise insulated) on both sides of the running rail to raise each of the the centre contacts as they pass over. hth Best wishes, Ray
