7APT7
Erm.... the signal box down by the Office is all boarded up now, can't say I have seen a signal box up the station end of Bescot... I took some photos of the signal box by the offices half way down the yard at the end of last week, no longer in use mate. Jamie

7APT7
Yes, it crossed my mind while I was taking photos of it... they are still re-fuelling up by the Polly-tunnel though out of tanks on the side of the tracks, whether that will stop to.... I don't know... Jamie

7APT7
that will be sad to see if they build houses on the land, but then, there's still a lot of rolling stock wagons etc, which moves on a daily basis... Jamie

RMweb Gold Joseph_Pestell Posted April 16, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 16, 2015 I did read somewere that DB were getting rid of few "freight yards" seling them upto building companys for housing... Difficult to reuse railway sidings for housing. Land considered to be contaminated and it costs shedloads to remediate. Much more likely to sell for industrial/commercial use.
