RMweb Gold colin penfold Posted January 9, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 9, 2017 Yes, can't imagine why I've been overlooked. I'll have you know the Railbus moved almost 9' using DCC control. Really don't understand why that's not enough for some folk. ;-p But you're not bitter Chris.......
RMweb Gold checkrail Posted January 9, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 9, 2017 Congratulations to John C ( Checkrail) of this parish for making the shortlist for readers layout of the year for Stoke Courtenay. I was surprised Pencarrow didn't make the list. Good gracious! News to me - but very pleasing news. Have now found survey, which had escaped my notice so far. Cheers Robin. The thing I like is the brake van on the up train is nearly in focus and it must be over eight feet away. RMweb Gold gwrrob Posted January 10, 2017 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted January 10, 2017 Bachmann 32=007 Dumbleton Hall in GWR green sounds promising. I haven't had confirmation but it's looking like this model is as preserved on the SDR.
brianusa
Haven't been there in a while but it was there then so what's the hold up, apart from the usual reasons; money, time, labour, etc. It looks better than average for restoration; don't know what you can't see but it appears to be all there. Surely it would be better to have a go than let it deteriorate further. But there are enough Halls, I suppose! Brian
RMweb Gold colin penfold Posted January 10, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 10, 2017 Thanks for the heads up Rob, thanks to my lovely wife and a imminent birthday I'm off to Pendon to learn from the master. RMweb Gold Limpley Stoker Posted January 10, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 10, 2017 (edited) The thing I like is the brake van on the up train is nearly in focus and it must be over eight feet away. Andy is doing this day course at Pendon in May. https://www.pendonmuseum.com/shop/view.php?id=178&category=19 I was tempted after watching his focus stacking tutorial but I suspect the proper software costs as much as a Birdcage coach from Bachmann! RMweb Gold The Stationmaster Posted January 10, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 10, 2017 I haven't had confirmation but it's looking like this model is as preserved on the SDR. But although 4920 has lined cylinders it is not lined on the frames - so maybe the model won't be once they've finished their research?
