The ubiquitous South Wales engine. Haul anything and seen everywhere. But now..cue the cognoscenti to post us which end pointed in which direction going up from Queen Street to Ponty & beyond. I remember countless journeys behind them and on one occasion behind two ,double heading a school’s excursion from Aberdare to Windsor as far as Bassaleg Junction where Hall 4969 did the honours as far as its Royal destination. That was the summer of another Coronation year…..1953. I had just passed my 11+ .Enjoy the model.I think Dapol’s incoming should be another useful coach accessory apart of course  from H’s bow ended…..or even Rapido’s B set and lots of their lovely new wagons too.

A very round number. Saving pennies for the G0G trade do in Kettering tomorrow.

Nice to see your photos of the new Dapol toad and I hear they're doing the sloped tank version of the 45xx too.

I think…if my brain is functioning as it should…its meaning in general is that after a good knees up,all is well with the world . Which is a good feeling.

The usual guessing game with Dapol as to what we actually get as none of the products listed give the depot branding or lettering preview.
