Having failed to put his glasses on correctly, NHY 581 hasn't read the "How to protect yourself against vampires" notice.

 

I was confident in the protection offered by my garlic underpants.

I’ll be driving through Brent tomorrow morning. Have persuaded the wife that the best route from Cornwall to London is via the South Devon Railway and Pendon.

You can’t beat having an understanding wife or partner. OTOH, having an understandable one can be in the realms of fantasy.....

A new arrival is seen at Tigley Junction with a big dollop of modeller's licence needed to recreate 6018 King Henry V1 on the exchange trials run in '48. I'm using 6022 King Edward 3rd but obviously lack the appropriate Gresley stock to put behind her.

Hallelujah! At last.A great model .Worth a few drools.7:50 KX-Leeds diverted via South Devon to excessive use of imagination.Eric Treacy on footplate,CB Collett in Dyno Car....you wish.

Perhaps one could imagine there was a dynamometer coach exchange as well as a locomotive exchange in the planning for’48 !
