Rapido staff RapidoCorbs Posted February 23, 2023 Rapido staff Share Posted February 23, 2023 Evening, I've posted in the product thread about the mistake in the instructions 😬 Brake parts - warehouse staff have checked and we do have a very limited stock of spare bits including some extra brakes for the 4-plank. If you would like one to upgrade your single-sided braked wagon to double, please drop me a direct message on here. 2 1
nigel newling
Please Corbs, can you make me one of the happy recipients? :-) These two wagons will form part of my engineering train, as spoil wagons, and, in 1947, would definately have been either side braked. Here you are, representing a manufacturer while apparently bending over backwards to help customers and potential customers. No good will come of it! PS I have about a dozen of your wagons and they are simply delicious. 1 1 1

Out of curiosity, what is the CO branding in the circle? At first I thought it was "condemned" but saw a pic in Atkins et al showing a newly painted wagon with it on, but the caption was of no help, only noting that the CO was there. I couldn't find a ref to it in the livery section (maybe just being word blind...).

MrWolf
Back on topic. Is it possible to obtain PW train transfers including the CO and Tool Van branding? I find myself amassing such a train.

I think Railtec have the CO on one of their sheets POW sides do some tool van transfers I think. 1 hour ago, longchap said: Yes, but that does not mean you would not buy one. Hello 57xx Have you tried using a controller without feedback? I noted some way back that my 14xx jumps all over the place on feedback but is as smooth as many without. Agreed, under DCC I just cant get mine to work well enough. Really need to get the decoder out of it and into my 64xx so at least I have a useable loco...

They also have non-feedback on their mains cased control units, which I also have a couple. Their panel-mounted controllers also come in feedback and non-feedback form (all of my layout control panels have a panel-mounted non-feedback control unit fitted, so that I can switch from them (as non-feedback) to one of my favoured AMR hand-held controllers (which do feature gentle feedback). I've been using the AMR controllers for many, many years and they are very kind to the likes of Portescap motors and are excellent for non-coreless motors. The horrible little coreless motors in the DJM 14XX, together with it's ridiculous 'diesel motor bogie' drive arrangements are the first to defeat all of my various control units. 1 2 1
