I'm a bit confused by that second picture. It looks like the factory have forgotten to fix half the parts....

I've done enough Q1's to know there's nothing missing...

That's a year in the Iron Bulleid for you - so I've just been informed :P

You mean its *supposed* to look like that??? I was hoping against hope the rest of it was rattling around in the box. But then it's not been made by Heljan and delivered by Yodel!

Slow progress is being made on my sea and I've had a change of plan on which water product to use. I'm impressed with the Vallejo products , their water texture is superb and have decided to use their still water instead of the WS deep pour I originally planned , it's cheaper too. ;) I was looking at putting a boat on the shore to add interest. Any suggestions ?

Time is also being spent on tidying the railway room as I have a 'special' visitor coming this weekend. :secret:

I think if you take your time with the Vallejo products and maybe revisit the YouTube vids I showed here Rob then I think you will get some good results.

On the matter of inspiration, can I ask the Brentonians what they think of my efforts to produce some diamond pattern paviors for my little attached toilet block, having now sprayed primer on them ? Do they cut the mustard ?

Obviously they will eventually be painted a suitable colour.

Comments please if thats ok with you Rob ?

I know that they probably won't be seen under normal viewing but you know that saying about "I know its there ! "

They look really convincing. I hope it’s just primer sprayed on them.

Vallejo have been my weapon of choice for weathering etc, for last 5 years (and with a handy app on the tablet, it's easy to match colours to the likes of Humbrol/Revel/Etc)

In the meantime, the production line continues...

Thanks LS, yes it is primer.

Well, you turn your back for and hour or so, cook an omelette and in that time the contractors have been and gone leaving this mess !

They're going to have to come back and explain why it hasn't been weathered !

It's not quite down to young Stubbies level, far too pristine.
