RMweb Gold Captain Kernow Posted December 24, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 24, 2016 Any use to somebdy on here. http://www.hawkin.com/model-shop/Hornby/Hornby-r4684-br-collett-coach-corridor-3rd-crimson-and-cream Thanks Robin, but unfortunately the space hopper era is a bit too late for most of my modelling activities. I do remember using one, though, as a means of transportation from one end of my parents' garden to the other.

RMweb Gold colin penfold Posted December 24, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 24, 2016 I was taken to a panto yesterday. Oh yes I was! Anyhow it reminded me of Jim Davidson's version for grown ups. Found it in full on You Tube. If you've not seen it and you want 90 minutes of fun try this You may be surprised to hear this but Charlie Drake is brilliant. Enjoy!

RMweb Gold Popular Post gwrrob Posted December 26, 2016 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted December 26, 2016 (edited) Bachmann 37-070 LMS wagon as supplied.Weathered using Humbrol powders, the iron oxide also represents the red Devon soil on my sugar beet. The load needs raising slightly.OK as a layout wagon.I think a few more might be in order. Edited December 26, 2016 by gwrrob

RMweb Gold 81C Posted December 26, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 26, 2016 (edited) Would a GWR tarp be used over a LMS wagon ? I don't think they bothered with sugar beet there are many photo's of loaded wagons without tarps. https://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nrm.org.uk%2Fimg%2Fnrm%2Fworksphotos%2FBritish%2520Transport%2520Commission%2F1996-7038_BTF_29_15.jpg&imgrefurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nrm.org.uk%2Fourcollection%2Fphoto%3Fgroup%3DBritish%2520Transport%2520Commission%26objid%3D1996-7038_BTF_29_15&docid=719DT08zSD-qHM&tbnid=aqJrBAN8tPC3KM%3A&vet=1&w=678&h=539&bih=950&biw=1920&q=sugar%20beet%20loaded%20in%20UK%20railway%20wagons&ved=0ahUKEwiZ_enp7ZHRAhXUO1AKHeXRDgcQMwgfKAUwBQ&iact=mrc&uact=8 Edited December 26, 2016 by 81C
RMweb Premium M.I.B Posted December 26, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 26, 2016 Would a GWR tarp be used over a LMS wagon ? They did NE and LMS ones last time I checked - not always avail on Ebay tho. There looks to be a tarped wagon in that picture. And a tarped wagon has many uses outside beet season.
