A Nod To Brent - a friendly thread, filled with frivolity, cream teas and pasties. Longing for the happy days in the South Hams 1947.

i wish I had insulated my shed- it's too cold even with my fan heater on

I managed about 20 minutes in the garage after work today before deciding it was too cold and coming back in to work on locos instead

And that's with insulation!

I am thinking about having another try later after running the heater for an hour to warm things up, really want to get on with building some bridges!

That said, the cold preventing modelling in the garage does have some benefits. Today it's making me get on with a task I've been putting off in getting etched plates on to my Wellington (with that annoying raised beading around the edge of the printed nameplate...)

That's one of the reasons my photos have dried up.

Well, I've never heard such a feeble excuse my good man !

When men were men and Miss W.Armheart came a knocking ( at the door not her knees ) for a portrait to go on her mantel shelf the local Brent chemist and part time portrait photographer would usual don his Long Johns and get her to smile despite and hardship he felt within...... Humph !

I wish I could model water as good as this seen on Mara Harbor.

Nah! You wanna stick closer to home matey, try the Dawlish route ( as seen on my earlier journey today )

Now this would be a challenge!

Was it a voyager? Did it shutdown to reboot? Was anyone trapped in the dunny? Just need to know! Could have read the status updates I suppose.

I won't be purchasing the first one.

They don't have the second one and that would have been what I would have purchased.

I don't want the third one.

I'm going now.

Something red ,200mm long and has three letters on it's side....

Are Hornby now producing GWR sausage vans?

Edit: can't be Palethorpes as that's more than three letters.....
